The idea behind this blog began when Jen inherited the well-loved cookbook from her grandma, McCall's Introduction to German Cooking.

Jen has fond childhood memories of feasting on recipes from this cookbook every New Year's Day, and Tara has a fondness for German food and beer in general since her travels to Munich.

So basically, we nerded out when this cookbook fell into our laps.
And no, we're not German. Well, we are German (ish)...
